about

With the release of their fourth album, Meeting Point, Pymlico has found their sound. The album feature eight tracks with complex, yet accessible instrumental music. The compositions are varied in expression, but what they all have in common is focus on good melodic structures and richarrangements. The sound is dens with detailed layers of keyboards and guitars.

The work on the 4th album began in January 2015. After 15 months of writing, recording and mixing the album was almost done. Close to the finishing line in spring 2016 a pre- master version was sent to several labels and it paid of. In June 2016 Pymlico signed with the label Apollon Records Prog. The album, called Meeting Point, had it's release in October 2016 and got worldwide distribution. It was the first Pymlico record also to be released on vinyl.

about

Pymlico Oslo, Norway

Pymlico is an instrumental band from Oslo, Norway, led by composer and drummer Arild Brøter. The band mainly plays what has been described as a mix between progressive rock and fusion. However, their music also offers catchy hooks and singable melodies associated with pop music, alongside grandiose themes more in the vein of movie sound tracks. ... more
